The Chippewa Steel of the North American Hockey League are pleased to announce that forward Jake Vaughan has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Connecticut College.
The 6’5/200 lbs. native of Colorado Springs, CO played in 29 games for the Steel during the 2019-2020 season, scoring 6 goals and recording 7 assists. Vaughan was also selected to compete in the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament in February where he recorded 1 assist in 2 games. Vaughan spent time with the Odessa Jackalopes and Bismarck Bobcats prior to coming to Chippewa Falls.
“Jake joined us mid-season and had an immediate impact on the ice and in the locker room. He worked hard to earn this opportunity and we’re happy for him and his family and he continues his hockey career at the next level,” said Steel Head Coach Carter Foguth.
