Among those returning players is goaltender Grant Boldt who played in nineteen games last season and held a .899 save percentage.

The roster features players from Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee, New Jersey, California, and Washington. Grisha Gotovets is the lone foreign-born player from Belarus in Europe. Full roster can be found here by clicking here.

Coach Carter Foguth commented, “We’re excited about the group of players we have here this season in Chippewa. We feel we have a group that is fast and very skilled which will allow us to play our style of hockey getting up and down the ice. Several of our returners played big roles for us last season and we will look for big contributions from them again this season. Grisha Gotovets, Braden Lindstrom, Ryan Kerchoff, Brendan Ogle, Ian Famulak, Matt Berezowski, Spencer Oyler, Michael Black, Kylar Fenton and Grant Boldt are all returners we expect to help us take another step as a team this season. We have added several players through the draft and tenders that we feel will also be big pieces for us right away. We’re looking forward to getting started and back on the ice in Chippewa.”

The Steel open the regular season on the Friday, November 6th against the Kenai River Brown Bears. The Home Opener features a Magnet Schedule Giveaway presented by Holly Bowe Coldwell Banker Brenizer, Realtors. Puck drop is slated for 7:10 p.m. Limited tickets are available at chippewasteelhockey.com.
