Series Preview | Chippewa Steel at Minnesota Magicians
(Chippewa Falls, WI)- The Steel will get back on the road tomorrow as they head to Richfield Ice Arena to take on the Minnesota Magicians Thursday afternoon and Friday evening.
The last time the Steel played the Magicians they lost 7-4 and 4-3. Dominant players for the Magicians were Lleyton Roed, Devlin McCabe, Trevor Kukkonen, and Luc Laylin each averaging two points per night during the previous series. All four players were crucial to Minnesota’s offensive game resulting in eleven goals in two games, while defensively Magicians goaltender Andy Beran made a combined 55 saves. For the Steel six different players graced the scoresheet during the last two games and goaltender Gus Bylin had an impressive performance in game two making 46 saves.
The Steel are coming off a hard-fought game with Minnesota and look to swing momentum in their direction for the third matchup against the Magicians in another important division game.
The puck drops on Thursday at 1:00 pm at Richfield Ice Arena to start the two-game series.
