Steel Set for Pair of Mid-Week Games

(Chippewa Falls, WI)- On Wednesday the Steel will take on the Kenai River Brown Bears for the sixth time this season. Of the last five matchups between the two teams, the Steel have taken two games, while the Brown Bears have taken three. For Kenai River, forward Max Helgeson leads the pack with 23 points in 20 games and is leading in goals with 11. The Brown Bears still with a strong presence in the net in Luke Pavicich who is currently holding a .932 save percentage.

The following night the Steel will rematch the Austin Bruins who have gotten the best of the series so far this season winning both games played against the Steel. Still standing as leading point-getter for Austin is Barrett Brooks with 14 points in 23 games. The Bruins not as powerful an offensive force as Kenai River as they are currently sitting with a -22 goal differential, giving up 22 more goals than they have scored this season.

The Steel are returning to the ice with an overtime win against the Fairbanks Ice Dogs fresh in their minds and will be looking to keep the offensive touch as they square up against two competitive teams this week.
