Steel Fall to Bruins
(Chippewa Falls, WI)- The Steel retuned to the ice again tonight to battle the Austin Bruins on a brisk night in Chippewa Falls.
The first period had a slow start with both teams trying to find their groove offensively. It was not until 7:49 of the first that a goal was scored, when rookie Daniel Rozsival son of former NHLer Michael Rozsival scored his first NAHL goal putting the Steel ahead by one midway through the period. Just over one minute later Ryan Waltman would tuck in a wrap around to increase the lead to two. The Bruins would score with eight seconds left in the period to cut the lead in half.
In the second most of the action took place in the Chippewa end where Berkeliev was kept busy making 13 saves on 15 shots, Steel would only have five shots in the second period but would still convert first to make it 3-1. Austin would tally twice in return to tie the game up 3-3 before heading into the third period.
The third period had a physical presence but was all Bruins as they would pull away scoring three goals while the Steel could not find an answer.
