(CHIPPEWA FALLS, WI)- The Steel host the Janesville Jets on Thursday at Chippewa Area Ice Arena. Chippewa enters Thursday night’s contest-winning two of three games over the Kenai River Brown Bears last week. The Steel broke out last Friday with a season-high six goals. Ethan Benz recorded his tenth goal of the season, which leads the team. Berk Berkeliev was solid in net, stopping 71 of the 78 shots he faced in the series. Janesville enters Thursday’s matchup holding the third spot in the Midwest Division.
What to Watch For
The home game on Thursday begins a stretch of five consecutive home games against Janesville. The Steel sit ten points out of the final playoff spot in the Midwest Division with five fewer games played compared to Kenai River who currently holds the final playoff spot in the division. The Jets are led by Cade Destefani and Charlie Schoen who both have scored 14 goals on the season.
