Chippewa Falls, WI- The Chippewa Steel of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that defenseman Michael Black has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for St. Norbert College.
The 5’10/180 lbs. native of Wheaton, IL played in 42 games for the Steel during the 20-21 season, recording 4 points.
Black played in 128 games for Chippewa since the 2018-2019 season. In three seasons he has scored 4 total goals and dished out 20 assists.
“Michael has been with the Chippewa Steel since year 1. He has been a staple for the program since the beginning and we are really excited to watch him at St. Norberts. Michael was a leader for us this year on and off the ice and we hope that translates to an important role on the St. Norberts hockey team,” stated Steel Head Coach & General Manager Mike Janda.
