Steel Announce Initial Roster
(Chippewa Falls, WI)- The Chippewa Steel have announced their initial roster for the 2021-22 season. The roster includes eight returning players from last season. The Steel will return three out of the top four-goal scorers from a season ago in Ethan Benz, Ryan Waltman and Jack Brown.
The roster features players from eleven states, with the most coming from the state of Minnesota. Eau Claire native Joe Kelly makes the initial roster as the lone Wisconsin player. Returning defenseman Evan Tanos is the lone foreign-born player from Canada. View the entire roster below.
“We are led by a great group of veteran players. We will rely on those players early in the season as our younger guys learn the ropes of the NAHL. I really like our balance and am excited to see how we start the season this Friday night!” stated Steel Head Coach Casey Mignone.
The Steel open the 2021-22 Season on Friday, September 10th. Friday features a Magnet Schedule Giveaway presented Coldwell Banker Brenizer Realtors Holly Bowe. Saturday night is $2 Beer Night presented by Leinenkugel’s. Puck drop is slated from 7 p.m. both nights. Tickets for Opening Weekend are on sale at chippewasteehockey.com.
