Get to know Chippewa Steel Forward Hutson Collins.

Hutson Collins is originally from Eau Claire and attended Eau Claire Memorial High School.

Q: How long have you been playing hockey?

A: Since I was 6 years old.

Q: Where have you played hockey?

A: Eau Claire Youth Hockey, Eau Claire Memorial, and now for the Steel.

Q: What do you like most about the Chippewa Valley?

A: I like the outdoors, so there is a lot of opportunities to go fishing. My favorite outdoor activity is trout fishing.

Q: What are your goals for the future?

A: My goal is to play college hockey after the Steel, and then I haven’t quite decided what I want to do but something along the lines of sports medicine or sports management.

Q: One interesting fact about you?

A: I’m kind of goofy once you get to know me.

Q: Funny or embarrassing hockey moment?

A: In high school we would go out for warm ups and a couple times I wiped out in front of the student section.

A: Happy Gilmore

A: Breaking Bad

A: Ramen Noodles

Q: What are you most excited about for this season?

A: Seeing the Chippewa Valley community come together around this new team. I think it’s going to be really exciting to see what we can do this year and hopefully win some games.
