Steel Suffer 2nd Loss in Weekend Series
The Steel wrapped up their weekend series against the Janesville Jets. After 3 periods of strong play, the Steel fell 5-1 in tonight’s game.
After a scoreless 1st period, the Steel’s Camden Thiesing put a goal on the board right away in the 2ndperiod. The Jets came back with 2 goals from Phillip Bjorkman and Erik Palmqvist.
Janesville had 3 goals for the 3rd period. The first of those goals came from Erik Palmqvist, then Erik Bargholtz reached one in the net, and to end the night, Austin Koss scored at 19:12 for the Jets.
Between the pipes tonight for the Steel was Owen Zdunski with 26 out of 31 saves. Garrett Nieto had 26 out of 27 saves for the Jets.
