Steel Take on Wings in Weekend Series

The Steel are back at home and ready to take on the Aberdeen Wings. After a tough loss last night against the Minnesota Magicians, the Steel will look to come back and get a win.

Ranked 3rd in the Central Division, the Wings are 6-2 on the season. Their two losses this season came early against the Minnesota Magicians and the Corpus Christi Ice Rays. Jonathan Bendorf and Joe Strada lead the Wings with 11 points each. Bendorf has 5 goals and 6 assists and Strada has 4 goals and 7 assists. Strada is committed to D1 Arizona State University. Last season, Aberdeen took 3rd place in the division.

In last night’s game, the Steel had two goals from Austin Mikesch and Jacob Dirks. The Steel are 3-8 on the young season and are searching for a win tonight. Camden Thiesing still leads the team with 9 points and Tomas Vochozka follows with 7 points, 2 goals, and 5 assists.
