Steel Shut Out the Jets
The Steel dominated the Jets and came out on top with a 6-0 win.
Just over a minute into the game, the Steel found the back of the net. Grant Reichenbacher assisted by Austin Mikesch gave the Steel an early lead. An unassisted goal from Tomas Vochozka gave the Steel the upper hand early in the game.
A strong defense and an aggressive offense made up the 2nd period. Killian Kiecker-Olson with assists from Trevor Wilhelm and Mikesch put up a goal. Just 2 minutes later Reichenbacher got his second of the night off of Mikesch. The Steel didn’t wait long before bringing the lead to 5-0 with another goal from Kiecker-Olson assisted by Camden Thiesing.
The Steel held off the jets and didn’t back down in the 3rd period. With an assist from Vochozka, Grant Reichenbacher recorded a hat trick on the night. His goal brought the Steel to a 6 to nothing lead.
Josh Langford with a shutout for the Steel, saved 19 out of 19 shots. Cole Brady was in goal for the Jets with 27 saves out of 33.
