Steel Finish the Weekend 1-1

The Steel split another weekend series against the Janesville Jets.

Friday night the Steel defeated the Jets in overtime 4-3. The Jets got the first goal of the night from Jack Vincent. The Steel fought back with two more goals in the first period from Grant Reichenbacher and Jacob Dirks. Janesville had the only goal of the 2nd period. Kyle Schroder of the Steel got a goal early in the 3rd period, and the Jets followed with a goal to take the game into overtime. Killian Kiecker-Olson sealed the win for the Steel with a goal early in overtime.

Saturday night the Jets slid past the Steel with a 1-0 win. After a scoreless 1st period, the Jets got the only goal of the night in the 2nd period. Josh Langford kept out 29 of the 30 shots for the Steel. Cole Brady was in goal for the Jets with 25 out of 25 saves.

The Steel are back at home this weekend to take on the Minnesota Wilderness. This Friday is Military Appreciation Night, all active duty and veterans will receive free admission to the game.
