Steel Are Set to Take on the MN Magicians

The Steel are ready to take on the Minnesota Magicians this weekend. Friday night the Steel will host the Magicians before heading to Minnesota for a road game.

The MN Magicians hold the 1st place spot in the Midwest Division with a record of 20-9. Last weekend, the Magicians got swept by the 2nd ranked Janesville Jets. The top skater for the Magicians is Cameron Buhl who has 30 points so far this season. John Keranen and Matthew Stanton follow with 20 points apiece.

The Steel are coming off a winning weekend, beating the Kenai River Brown Bears both nights. Tomas Vochozka still holds the lead in points followed by Camden Thiesing and Killian Kiecker-Olson. The Steel will look for a comeback after losing to the Magicians by just one goal back in October.

The puck drops at 7:10 p.m. tonight at the Chippewa Area Ice Arena. Tonight is Steel Hat Giveaway presented by River Country Co-Op. Fans can get tickets at the door by at chippewasteelhockey.com.
