Steel Ready for Match-up Against Minnesota Magicians
After nearly a month-long layoff at Chippewa Area Ice Arena, the Steel return to face the first place Minnesota Magicians.
The Magicians are coming off a weekend sweep of the Janesville Jets. Forward Cameron Buhl leads the Magicians with 43 points, 14 goals, and 29 assists. John Keranen follows with 36 points, 18 goals, and 18 assists.
On their trip to Alaska, the Steel swept the Kenai River Brown Bears and went 1-2 against the Fairbanks Ice Dogs. Forwards Jacob Dirks and Killian Kiecker Olson lead the team with 23 points each. Dirks has 15 goals and 8 assists while Kiecker-Olson has 8 goals and 15 assists.
“The Minnesota Magicians are a very good team and as the top team in our division it will be a tough opponent. We’re ready for the challenge and excited to be back in front of our home fans in Chippewa,” commented Steel Interim Head Coach Carter Foguth.
