Steel Fall to Jets in Overtime
Steel fall to the Janesville Jets 2-1 in overtime.
The Jets were the first to find the back of the net on Friday night as Erik Bargholtz got the goal unassisted. Early in the 2nd period Killian Kiecker-Olson tied up the contest with a goal of his own assisted by Camden Thiesing and Spencer Oyler.
A scoreless 3rd period sent the game into five minute overtime peiod. After a Chippewa turnover the Jets netted the game winning goal on a breakaway from Matt Hanewall to win the game 2-1.
In goal tonight for the Steel was Josh Langford with 37 saves and Garrett Nieto for the Jets recored 26 saves.
The Steel are back in action tomorrow night at 7:10 for Pepsi Family Four Pack Night and Glove Giveaway presented by CCF Bank. Fans can get their tickets at the door or online at chippewasteelhockey.com.
