Steel Can’t Fly Past Magicians
Steel came up short to the Minnesota Magicians on Superhero Night at the Chippewa Area Ice Arena.
Strong play from both teams kept the 1st period scoreless. Late in the 2nd period, Ben Schultheis of the Magicians found the back of the net with an assist from Valentino Passarelli to give the Magicians the 1-0 lead going into the 3rd period.
The Magicians increased their lead with a goal from Nick Lanigan assisted by Chris Konin. Matt Stanton took advantage of a 5 on 3 powerplay goal which was assisted by Jake Hale and Andrew Kruse to win the game 3-0.
In goal, tonight for the Steel was Josh Langford with 19 saves and Ethan Haider for the Magicians with 20 saves.
