Chippewa Falls, WI – The Chippewa Steel of the NAHL have announced the signing of Grant Boldt to a tender contract for 2019-2020 season. Boldt is a Goalie from Blaine, Minnesota.
Boldt played in 30 games during the 2018-2019 regular season for the Estevan Bruins of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. In those games he recorded .908 save percentage.
“Grant had a very good season in his first year of Junior hockey. He is a goalie that is capable of making all the saves and winning hockey games. We’re looking forward to having him as a part of the Chippewa Steel,” stated Head Coach Carter Foguth.
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders – plus or minus any trades – which become active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft.
The 2019-2020 season schedule will be released in early July. Season tickets and group outing options are now available for the 2019-2020 season. Fans can purchase tickets at chippewasteelhockey.com or by calling 715-861-2131.
