Steel Announce 2020-2021 Captains
(Chippewa Falls, WI)- The Chippewa Steel have announced their leadership group for the 2020-2021 season. Serving as captains are returners Ian Famulak and Spencer Oyler. Alternate captains are returning defensemen Michael Black and newcomer Brockton Baker.
Forward Ian Famulak, a veteran who played in 106 games the last two seasons has been a key player and leader for the Steel. Blueliners Spencer Oyler and Michael Black are also returning for their third season. Oyler played in 75 games the last two seasons and contributed 36 points, while Michael Black played in 86 games and contributed 17 points. New this season is forward Brockton Baker who played 82 games in his last two seasons in the USHL.
“Our Leadership group for the season has guys that will lead our group in the direction we want to go. Ian, Spencer, and Michael are going on their third year with our organization while Brock brings a lot of Junior hockey experience to us as well. They were chosen by their teammates to be the leaders of this group and we look forward to what we can accomplish with them leading the way.” Added Coach Carter Foguth.
The Steel return to the ice Thursday, November 12th at home against the Kenai River Brown Bears. Puck drop is 7:10 p.m. Limited tickets are available at chippewasteelhockey.com.
