(CHIPPEWA FALLS, WI)- The Steel begin a three-game series with Minnesota Magicians on Thursday at Richfield Ice Arena. The series will then shift to Chippewa on Friday and Saturday night. Chippewa enters Thursday night’s contest coming off a tough loss last Friday where they held a 2-1 lead early in the third period and eventually suffered a 4-2 loss.  The Minnesota Magicians enter the series holding the top spot in the Midwest Division.  Minnesota brings a split of the Janesville Jets last weekend into the series.

What to Watch For

The Magicians have a very potent group of forwards, led by Luc Laylin, Hunter Longhi, and Jack Cronin. Over seven different players have scored at least five goals for the Magicians this season. Andy Beran owns a 9-4 record in net with a 2.77 GAA and .920 save percentage. Jack Brown led the Steel offense last week by more than doubling his offensive output on the season by scoring three goals in only two games.
