Steel Come Up Short

(Chippewa Falls, WI)- Tonight the Minnesota Magicians took a game back from the Steel after they were upset at home last night when the Steel pulled out at 4-2 victory.

The Magicians had a hot start scoring in the first four minutes of the period, but Gotovets answered with one of his own with a diving play at the net to tie the game at one. Minnesota would score twice more to go up 3-1 and take their two-goal lead into the second period.

In the second period the Steel killed off four huge penalties and swung some momentum their way offensively where the Steel would outshoot the Magicians 16-9 in the period but would not put any past Magicians goaltender Andy Beran.

The third period had more back and forth action while the Steel again outshot the Magicians but Minnesota was the only team to show for it on the scoreboard tallying twice more. The final score was 5-1 with the shots slightly in favor of the Magicians 41-38.

The Steel return to the Chippewa Area Ice Arena tomorrow night against the Minnesota Magicians. Limited tickets are available at chippewasteelhockey.com.
