Steel Win Thriller 4-3 in Overtime

The Steel beat the Minnesota Magicians in front of a capacity crowd in overtime, 4-3 to wrap up the Inaugural Season.

The Minnesota Magicians found the back of the net early in the first period to take a 1-0 advantage. Josh Langford was pulled for back up goalie Gavin Abric.

The Magicians scored again just 3 minutes and 45 seconds into the second period. Isaac Henkemeyer-Howe scored the goal to give them a 2-0 lead. Ian Famulak got the first goal for the Steel assisted by Jacob Dirks and Spencer Oyler. Jacob Dirks tied the game with assists from Dylan Moulton and Killian Kiecker-Olson to enter the final period.

Killian Kiecker-Olson gave the Steel the lead in the 3rd period with a goal assisted by Matt Clark and Joey Trifone. The Magicians knotted the game with a goal from Matthew Stanton to take the game into overtime.

Less than twenty seconds into overtime play, Jacob Dirks scored the game-winning goal with assists from Camden Thiesing and Dylan Moulton.

In goal for the Magicians was Jack Robbel with 23 saves. In between the pipes for the Steel with the win was Gavin Abric with 30 saves.
