CHIPPEWA FALLS, WI- The Chippewa Steel will face the Janesville Jets on Friday night in their first home game of the new year. This will be the third series meeting for these two teams in which the Steel have come out on top in all four games. Chippewa will then travel to Janesville Saturday night for the second game of this series on the road. Fans can catch Friday and Saturday night’s games on HockeyTV.

The Steel have proven to have the hot hand at home winning their last six games in Chippewa. Still holding the third-place spot in the division, Chippewa continues to control their home ice with their fast-paced and aggressive style of play. Newcomers Jake Vaughan and Connor McGrath each tallied two goals apiece in last weekend’s series against the Magicians and hope to keep contributing to the Steel’s success.

The Janesville Jets are hoping to grab their first win of the 2020 this weekend. The Jets are just one spot behind Chippewa in the Midwest Division standings with a season record of 13-19. Forward Isaac Novak leads the Jets’ scoring efforts with 13 goals on the year, three of those coming in their last game against Kenai River.

The puck drops at Chippewa Area Ice Arena at 7:10pm CST. Friday night’s game will be Can Koozie Giveaway night presented by CCF Bank. For tickets call 715-861-2131 or visit chippewasteelhockey.com
